Soldiers and Seniors gather for "Operation Salute"
in front of Senior Center
"Operation Salute" was held yesterday at the senior center in Grantsville, part of
the 6th Annual National Military Month Celebration. The AARP program honors the
men and women who serve in the military.
More than 6,000 cards have been sent to soldiers, offering support and gratitude,
according to Willadene Poling.
Yesterday's ceremony included a trailer ride around Grantsville for past and
present soldiers and a special luncheon.
