County Clerk Richard Kirby and election crew call out the numbers

Clerk's office was crowded with candidates and politicos, waiting for results

Chief Deputy Sheriff Carl Ballengee, Democrat, was the winner in a four-way race for sheriff. He defeated his nearest opponent Jeff Smith, 691 to 507. Charles McCroskey polled 199 votes and Ivan Holbert 122.

Incumbent Circuit Clerk Sheila Garretson, Democrat, defeated Larry Robinson 1001 to 499.

Incumbents Teresa Robinson (971) and Rick Postalwait (803) won the seats for Magistrate, defeating Henry "Billy" Mullins (470) and Perry Jenkins (66).

Incumbent Democrat Calhoun Commissioner Bob Weaver defeated opponent Bill Jarvis, 794-688.

Richard Kirby (Democrat), unopposed for County Clerk, tallied 1265.

Jason Nettles (Democrat), unopposed for Assessor, tallied 1221.

Matt Minney (Democrat), unopposed for Prosecuting Attorney, tallied 1126.

Doyle Hupp, Jr. (Democrat), unopposed for Surveyor tallied 1112.

William F. "Bill" Stemple (Democrat) was unopposed, and tallied 1184 votes in Calhoun.

Gaylen Duskey was unopposed for Assessor and Charles McKown was unopposed for House of Delegates on the Republican ticket. Duskey and McKown will face their Democratic opponents on the November General Election ballot.
