| Laura Etta Meadows, 90, of Parkersburg died May 7, 2004, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
She was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Columbus C. and Martha Villers Authur. She was raised from the age of three by her grandmother, the late Martha Criss Authur.
She was a member of the Grace Brethren Church and enjoyed raising flowers and gardening. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Vandale Lee Meadows of Parkersburg; her children, Wayne Meadows of Mineral Wells and Viola O'Neal Haggard of Moncks Corner, S.C.; her grandchildren, Franklin Haggard and Alden Haggard, both of Moncks Corner, Bryan Meadows of Mineral Wells, Kari Walker of Vienna, Erin Smith and Sarah Middleton, both of Parkersburg, and Kristen Meadows of Mineral Wells; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Pastor Scott Hannus officiating. Interment will be in the Cooper Cemetery at Creston, W.Va. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
