Piping is piled along Yellow Creek waiting installation of water lines to the area, a
project which has required long waiting.
Water is also being extended up Back Fork, locally known as Beech Fork.
Bosley Construction Company of Parkersburg has received the contract for
constructing the water service to 52 customers.
Construction will involve approximately 42,000 linear feet of waterline, fifteen fire
hydrants, and necessary appurtenances, according to engineer Jim Hildreth.
The company bid $837,000 on the Pleasant Hill Public Service District
project.
Rural Development has approved subsequent grant funding in the amount of
$225,000 for Pleasant Hill Public Service District.
The supplemental grant will reportedly fill in the financial gaps in extending
public water service to rural residents.
