Emergency workers discover "victim" along Little Kanawha
Injured person taken to one of several ambulances for transport
The auto went into the Little Kanawha River at Cain's Riffle, almost submerging
and killing one person. Four of the other occupants were seriously injured and
one was described as "walking wounded."
It was a mock disaster drill conducted yesterday evening by Minnie Hamilton
Health Care Center, Calhoun EMS and the Grantsville Volunteer Fire
Department.
Emergency workers triaged and treated the injured, placing them in ambulances
for transport to MHHCC.
Furr's Wrecker Service provided assistance to the mock disaster.
