Miss Wood Festival Queen is Melissa Hartshorn
Miss Teen Wood Festival is Riva Tanner
Miss Wood Festival Queen for 2004 was selected last night at a pageant held at
Calhoun Middle-High School. The queen was selected from a field of seven
candidates, ages 18-22.
Melissa Hartshorn, daughter of Leisa Prunty and Jeff Hartshorn of Grantsville, is
the new queen, voted upon by a panel of regional judges.
Hartshorn will be eligible to participate in regional and state events with the
newly created title.
The first runner-up was Heather Allman, daughter of Vickie Allman. The second
runner-up was Tia Satterfield, daughter of Steve and Joan Satterfield of
Grantsville.
Curt Garretson served as the master of ceremonies.

Seventeen-year-old Riva Tanner, daughter of Betty and Fred Tanner of
Arnoldsburg, was selected "Miss Teen Wood Festival" for 2004, from a field of
four candidates in the age 17 category.

First runner-up was Jamie Greenough, daughter of Wanda and Richard Leigh.
The contestants participated in interviews, street wear and evening gown
competition.
The Wood Festival is sponsoring Basket Bingo on May 1st at Calhoun Middle/High
School starting at 5 p.m.
The Wood Festival is scheduled for June 3-5.
