Robert E. Buck, 67, of Guysville, Ohio passed away at his home late Friday the morning of April 16.
He was born Feb. 27, 1937 at Lumberport, W.Va., son of the late Theodore (Calhoun) and Ruthford Parks Buck.
He was a graduate of Calhoun County High School and was formerly employed by B&O Railroad and CSX Railroad, where he was a track foreman for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna Metcalf Buck; sons, Edward (Moriah) Buck, Daniel Buck and a daughter, Debora Buck, all of Guysville; granddaughters, Breianne and Saundra of Guysville; brothers, Harold (Martha) Buck of Cleveland, Ohio, Eugene (Bonnie) Buck of Big Springs, W.Va., Denxyl (Ann) Buck of Guysville, Donald (Bonnie) Buck of Coolville, Delbert Buck of Guysville and Ronnie (Mary) Buck of Guysville; sisters Opal Swisher of Calhoun, W.Va., Thelma (Joe) Cooper of Clinton, Ohio, Delma Martin of Nelsonville, Ohio; mother-in-law Wanda Metcalf of Guysville and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Buck and father-in-law, Forrest Metcalf.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday in Jagers and Sons Funeral Home in Athens, Ohio, conducted by Pastor Monte McCune with burial in Wyers Cemetery in Guysville. Friends may call at the funeral home today 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Following services, family and friends are invited to gather at the Lottridge Community Center
