| Floyd Parsons, 76, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away April 14, 2004 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg.
Born in Nicholas County, he was a US Army Veteran of WW II and was a retired truck driver and a member of Teamsters Local #24 in Akron, Ohio. He was also a member of the Brooksville Baptist Church at Big Bend.
Surviving are his wife, Irene G. Parsons and one son, Harold Parsons and his wife Connie of Pleasant City, Ohio; one daughter, Patricia Gardner and her husband Thomas of Urichsville, Ohio; two step-children, Martha Harris and Terry Siers both of Big Bend, WV; brother, Newt Parsons of GA; three sisters, Mary Bunch of AL, Ann Jordon of Richwood, WV and Jean Lawers of Akron, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Parsons and a son, Steve Parsons.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 17 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. C.W. McDonald will officiate. Interment will be in the Goodnight Cemetery at Big Bend.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the services Saturday.
