A pick-up truck went of of control on Route 16 at Orma yesterday evening, going into the water of the West Fork. The driver was rescued from the nearly submerged vehicle, a rope was tossed from the riverbank to bring him to safety, said Arnoldsburg Fire Chief Fred Waybright. The driver was uninjured.

"He's lucky he didn't go in the river the past two days," said Waybright, with the stream being flooded out of banks.

The Arnoldsburg VFD responded to the call at 6:30 p.m. and ambulances from Calhoun EMS were dispatched to the scene. Trooper Jeff Hunt investigated the accident.
