Howard Linville, 64, of Williamstown, formerly of Grantsville, died April 2, 2004, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born in Grantsville, a son of the late Billie and Veta "Pete" Hathaway Linville.
Howard retired from Smith Transfer and was employed by Marietta Industrial Enterprises. He was a 1959 graduate of Calhoun County High School, a member of the Teamsters Union and a member of the Sixth and Washington Streets Church of Christ in Marietta.
Surviving are three daughters, Tonya Linville of Pennsboro, Lisa Swisher of Williamstown and Stephanie Kennedy of Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., currently serving in Iraq; a son, John Linville of Millwood; a twin brother, Hibbert Linville of Mineral Wells; two sisters, Isabelle Raines of Dunbar, W.Va., and Mae Stout of Mt. Zion, W.Va.; nine grandchildren, Zachary and Shawn Linville, Accasia, Joel and Jaron Swisher, Kieran and Aidan Kennedy and Courtney and Katie Linville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin Coolidge Linville and William L. (Dick) Linville.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Roger Rush and John Rockhold III officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Calhoun County. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, and one hour prior to services in Grantsville.
