| All 25 Summersville firefighters walked-off the job yesterday, after a budget battle with the city.
The fire department says City Council cut their budget for the next fiscal year by about 55 percent.
Summersville Mayor Stanley Adkins says the budget in question doesn't go into affect until July 1st.
Area volunteer fire departments are on standby in case of a fire or other emergency in Summersville.
