Two-county economic development group meets in Elizabeth
"This whole project is toward trying to bring jobs to our area," said
Dan McDonald,
President of the group. McDonald said a two-county group can access
more money for
economic development. It is expected the group will eventually hire a
full-time
economic development director.
Scruggs reviewed requirements to help make the group functional,
including the need
to become a Certified Development Community and how to qualify for
local economic
development grants. Members of the organization are required to take
training for
economic development. |
