Ten West Virginia educators received prized achievement honors Wednesday
afternoon from Governor Bob Wise.
One of the ten was Nasia Butcher, an english teacher at Gilmer County High
School.
Each recipient received a cash award of $2,500 thanks to Arch Coal.
In addition to the $2,500 award, the West Virginia Education Association added a
$1,000 grant to each of the recipients schools for use with at-risk students.
