Asst. Chief Joe Tanner said "It's a long way over the water to the car."
A late model car submerged in the flood waters of the West Fork at the mouth of Rush Run near Orma yesterday evening.
"There was nothing we could do to help the situation," said Joe Tanner, Assistant Chief of the Arnoldsburg VFD. The vehicle was on the Rush Run side of a low water bridge across the West Fork, which was still covered by high water at 5 p.m.
The vehicle, belonging to Sarah Cain, had been parked near the bridge.
The auto was submerged to the door handles.
The Arnoldsburg VFD and Calhoun EMS responded to the call.
