A 13-month old boy died in a house fire Monday night in Gilmer County, after his
mother put him down to sleep and went to an outside garage to see the child's
father.
The boy was identified as Issac Hosey.
Several fire departments responded to the fire scene at Sand Fork.
Gilmer County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Larry Gerwig said a "full scale
investigation" will be conducted by his department. "The Fire Marshal and
Medical Examimer are helping us piece the puzzle together," he said.
"He was found in a back corner in a crib," said Gerwig.
Deputy Gerwig says he could not confirm the couple had been having problems
with a stove.
The Hoseys have three other children who do not live with the couple. |
