Calhoun Assessor Jason Nettles presents the assessor's books to the Calhoun
Commission last night, the first of several annual commission meetings dedicated
as a Board of Equalization and Review. Three more special meetings are
scheduled in February where taxpayers can file a complaint about unfair
taxation.
The meetings are scheduled at 5 p.m. on February 2, February 5 and February 17.
The February 17 meeting is dedicated to problems related to oil and gas taxation.
Those problems are addressed by the State Tax Department, and the County
Clerk should be notified so a representative is present.
