Authorities are investigating the death of a Spencer woman who was shot in her mobile home.
Patricia Kelly, 30, was shot in her home at Mann's Trailer Court, Roane Sheriff Todd Cole said.
Sgt. Doug Eldridge of the sheriff's department responded to the shooting which occurred around 1 a.m. Thursday, the sheriff said.
Kelly was shot once in the abdomen. A rifle was used, although police have not disclosed the caliber.
Cole said Kelly was shot in the bedroom of the family residence. He said her family was in the home at the time including her husband, Joseph Kelly Jr., and her son and daughter, ages 11 and 8.
Kelly was taken to Roane General Hospital and then airlifted to a Charleston hospital where she was pronounced dead...
