CALHOUN BANKS WILL BUILD NEW GLENVILLE FACILITY

(01/29/2004)
Calhoun Banks of Glenville has announced the construction of a new banking facility in 2004, according to CEO Jim Bennett.

The $700,000 facility will be located on a one acre plot near the Rite Aid Store, fronting on U. S. 33-119.

Branch Manager Bruce Fitzwater said the new bank will provide expanded customer services and office space.

The current bank, which opened in 1997, has been operating in cramped quarters near the Foodland Plaza.

Fitzwater said the bank's business has mushroomed, deposits doubling since 1997 with loan volume ever increasing.
