| Etta Crawford Carpenter, 84, of Millstone, West Virginia died Saturday, January 24, 2004 at Miletree of Spencer, WV following a long illness.
She was born in Calhoun County on October 17, 1919 a daughter of the late W.T. and Oma Esther Woos Crawford. She was a member of Albert's Chapel, of Sand Ridge, WV.
She is survived by her husband, Oda Carpenter and one sister, Ursley Powell of Barberton, Ohio. Also surviving are step-son Darrell Carpenter of Oldtown, Florida and step-daughter, Mary Alice Harris of Akron, Ohio, five grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Dare, Glen and W.T., Jr. Crawford; four sisters, Grace Carpenter, Jean Murawsky, Mildrend Rennie and Ivah Peggy Miller.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV. Rev. Rick Swearingen will officiate. Interment will be in Sand Ridge Cemetery, Sand Ridge, WV. Visitation will be from noon until time of the service on Wednesday. |
