Winter in recent years has caused folks to feed the birds, particularly when the weather gets really nasty.
Our front yard feeder draws about a hundred birds, but it also draws our family cats, who delusively believe they can catch a bird if they position themselves inside, beside, on top of, or below the feeder.
"Mini-Me" makes his initial attack on the feeder, scattering the birds ...
Then positions himself on the side, scouting for incoming birdies ...
... and settles for a long patient wait, silently saying "Here birdie, birdie"
