Iva P. Boggs, 77 of Oak Drive Addition, Spencer, WV, died
Wednesday, April 4th. at her home following a long illness.
Born in Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late Malie and
Isa Smith Carpenter. She was a retired dietitian for Spencer State
Hospital and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in
Spencer.
Surviving are two sisters, Ella Carpenter of Baker, WV and Marion
Woods of Arnoldsburg, WV; her nephew, niece and caregivers,
Mike and Lisa Carpenter of Spencer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Boggs; four
brothers, Rex, Gay, Arlen and Leonard Carpenter; four sisters,
Eleanor Carpenter, Oleta Carpenter, Samantha Jarvis and Millie
Hoover.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Stump Funeral
Home, Arnoldsburg. Rev. John Bowen will officiate. Interment will
be in the Orma Cemetery, Orma, WV. Friends may call at the
funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the
service Saturday.
