| Nona Batten, 86, of Sissonville, West Virginia, formerly of Spencer died Monday, January 19, 2004 in the Cedar Ridge Center, Sissonville
She was born February 22, 1917 in Kanawha County, a daughter of the late Ezra and Mary Hughey George. She was a homemaker and a Protestant.
Survivors include one son, Charles E. Batten of Sissonville; two stepdaughters, Donna Weaver of Mt. Morris, PA and Barbara Cleary of Canton, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Holly "Uncle Joe" Batten; and one son, Joseph Michael Batten.
A funeral service was conducted Thursday, January 22 at 1:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Garry L. Bowen officiating. Burial was in the Spencer Memorial Cemetery, Spencer.
