A plea for volunteer help has been issued again by the former president of the Minnora Community Center. A meeting held last week drew little interest, according to Donna Jordan, who has resigned because of personal commitments.
"To say that I was disappointed with the turn out would be putting it mildly," she said. "Not a single community member attended."
Jordan, who is expressing fear the center might close, said there is more work than a handful of people can handle. While the bills have been paid, help is desperately needed. She will continue assisting with the center's activities.
"This facility has much to offer. It would be a shame to lose it due to a community that just doesn't care," she said.
While no election has been held, vice president Kenny Bailey will be in charge of the facility.
