"It is really disappointing," said former Minnora Community Center president
Donna Jordan, whose resignation was effective this week.
Jordan had called for community volunteers to come to a meeting last Tuesday
to help with the center, but "Only one person besides myself showed up." She
said several of the current board members had problems which prevented their
attendance.
Jordan said not enough board members had attended during the past four
months to vote on issues.
"The center really needs some volunteer support, even though it is hanging in
there financially and the bills are paid. The last flea market was a huge success,"
she said.
Kenny Bailey, the vice-president, has assumed the leadership role.
Jordan, who resigned because of some new commitments, said she is still
helping with the center.
"Another wrestling match is coming up and the annual ramp dinner is being
planned."
"The center needs help," she concluded.
