Grantsville resident Larry G. Robinson has announced he will be filing as a candidate for Calhoun County Circuit
Clerk.
Robinson will run against incumbent Shelia Garretson.
Robinson joins four other new candidates who have pre-announced their intentions: Matthew Minney for prosecutor,
Carl Ballengee and Jeff Smith for sheriff and Gaylen Duskey for assessor.
Robinson says he would bring 25 years experience in administration and business, if elected to the position.
A former supervisor with B. F. Goodrich, he has a degree in business administration from Glenville State College.
He is retired from the United States Army Reserve 305th MP Company at Grantsville, and served with the U. S. Army
Defense Intelligence Agency, Pentagon.
County candidate filing opens on January 12 at 8:30 a.m. and closes January 31 at
12
p.m., according to Circuit Clerk Shelia Garretson. All others, including House of
Delegates, must file with the Secretary of States office.
