An eight-year employee of the Calhoun County Public Library has been selected as
the county's new librarian. Amy Allen has replaced longtime librarian Glada Stump,
who has retired with over twenty years service.
Allen said she is excited about her new position. "I'm trying to get some of my own
systems going to operate it," she said. "It is something that I have always enjoyed
doing."
The library, besides offering books and book acquisition programs, has two large
historical libraries, computer access, videos, tapes, music, newspapers, FAX
service, copiers, meeting rooms and many other services.
"We hope to inform more people about our many services, and have them stop by,"
said Allen.
The library is looking to hire an Assistant Librarian, high school graduate, typing and computer skills. Accepting resumes: Calhoun County Library, P. O. Box 918, Grantsville 26147 by January 16, 2004.
