At least 17 individuals or businesses applied for flood assistance with FEMA while
they accepted applications at the Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Department.
Ron Hornbeck, a community relations specialist with FEMA, said the agency will
process the applications in an effort to obtain financial assistance for individuals
affected by the recent floods.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has given out more than 13 million dollars in aid to state residents affected by November's flooding.
Hundreds of West Virginia homes and businesses were damaged in last month's storms.
The deadline for disaster aid applications is January 20th.
Meanwhile, the deadline for Economic Injury Disaster Loans from the Small Business Administration is January Ninth. Those loans are for small, non-farm and agriculture-dependent businesses.
