Students at Pleasant Hill School are rehearsing for this year's Christmas play, The Littlest Reindeer.

It's Christmas at the North Pole and everyone's getting ready for Santa's 'round the world jaunt. The littlest reindeer has been told that this is his chance to join the team and help Santa. Everyone is skeptical that such a little critter could possibly be of much use on so important a night. But by the end of the story they realize that everybody has something to offer in the quest to make the magic of Christmas real.

Every grade -- preschool, kindergarten, first, second, third, and fourth -- will sing a song that will tell the story. A dozen students from almost every grade have speaking parts in the play.

John Bugby, music teacher, has been practicing the songs with each grade. Kristi Ritchie, kindergarten teacher, has been rehearsing with the students who are in the play. Kim Batten, PE teacher, and Steve Albaugh, speech therapist, have been assisting with the practices and rehearsals.

Parents, relatives, and friends are invited to see The Littlest Reindeer at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 23 in the Pleasant Hill gym.
