EDDIE AUSTIN KERBY DAY - Calhoun's Most Noteworthy Eccentric's Predictions

We have declared Eddie Austin Kerby Day, remembering the county's most noteworthy eccentric.

Calhoun's Eddie Austin Kerby, in his book, was thoroughly convinced that the USA would be "ruled by monopolies (in sheep's clothing), dictators (in sheep's clothing) and vote buyers (in sheep's clothing)," and issued dozens of warnings to readers about the death of American democracy.

Kerby's pronouncements started in the 1930s, his insight came directly from God, he said.

Could he have been on to something?
