SO LONG 'BOOZIE' - 'Three Amigo' Passes On

(03/21/2017)

One of the original Calhoun sports fans known as "The Three Amigos" has passed.

Cecil D. “Boozie” Wolverton, 78, of Walker, a Calhoun High School graduate in 1956, was one of school's most avid supporters over the past 65 years. He was hampered in more recent years with blindness.

The original "Three Amigos" included Junior Smith, Lee "Ox" Johnson (deceased) and Wolverton.

He attended Glenville State College, was retired from DuPont after thirty-two years and was a United States Army Reserves veteran.

A private family service will be held.
