Beekeeper Dale Cunningham and members of the
association demonstrate beekeeping at event
Attending the Honey Products and Craft Show, sponsored by the West Central Beekeepers Association, the star of the event was the honeybee, itself and how to keep it alive, pollinating and producing one of natures most healthy products - honey.
In 2017, in the Mountain State, about 75% of honeybees died, mostly because of environmental problems and disease.
Beekeeper Dale Cunningham said, "If we lose our bees, we are in great trouble," explaining the pro-active stance of the local group to expand bee populations.
"We are always looking for new beekeepers, and our group does a lot to help them," said Cunningham.
The well attended weekend event, featured honey (which quickly sold out), honey products, equipment, woodworking and lots of local crafts.
